  13. I've written a small address-database which is supposed to have an 
  14. autodial feature if you have a modem connected..
  15.  
  16. The problem is that this feature only works on some modems.

  18. What I do is simply opening the requested device and then send out an 
  19. "ATDT<phonenumber>" string to the modem.
  20.  
  21. Why will this only work on some modems?
